A little further towards Placa Catalunya, the Barcelona cathedral towers over Barrio Gotico. To reach the ancient area of Barrio Gotico, it is possible to catch the Barcelona metro to Liceu or Drassanes and walk, or to the stops Urquinaona, or Jaume I, which will take you to the heart of the district.
