The interior of our Tamarit apartment is a modern update on a classic Spanish theme. Calle Tamarit is a quiet and pretty street running through the south Eixample and Sant Antoni districts of Barcelona. The area was constructed in the nineteenth century, and many of the apartments retain much of their original character and charm. Although the neighborhood is quiet and tranquil, it is only a few minutes walk to the hustle and bustle of the Barcelona city centre.
Nearby is the local market of Sant Antoni, where you are sure to find a cheap discount bargain and delicious Spanish food. Here, there are vendors selling everything from the latest trends in fashion to fresh produce brought in from the farms in the Catalonia countryside. There are also a number of international and Spanish restaurants in the area, and even more bars and cafés close by, each with their own individual character and theme, where you can spend the night with friends sipping a glass of Spanish wine or a freshly prepared pan con tomate – a Catalan specialty that everyone has to try.

All the other tourist attractions in the old historical center of Barcelona can easily be reached by foot; but the apartment is also right by a metro station that will take you to all of the other city parts in just a few minutes!
